"This picture book is great for younger children and would be suitable for Early Years Foundation Stage. The artwork is spectacular and the pages have holes in them to show the caterpillar eating his way through the pages. The pages themselves also get bigger and grow as the caterpillar does until he becomes a butterfly. The author uses vivid colours that are particularly great for younger children who can't help but be drawn in. This book should be a staple in any nursery or reception class and both teachers and children will enjoy reading it.
